Notes:
Session picks
up immediately. Bajol cautiously enters what is clearly a crypt. The party,
minus Fyn who watches from the entry, heads in. They find a large room where an
obvious battle has taken place. Branching off of the room are burial chambers.
It appears that other adventuring parties have come in at different times to
loot the tomb and were all slain here. In one burial chamber the Knights find
what appears to be a last stand, and Grigor recovers some mouldering papers.
The party also finds a few magic items from the slain adventurers.
At the far
end of the room is a door with the engraving “Let the evil within never be
released, we ask of Omnos, Brulor, Solarians all” in First World Script. The
door clearly has already been opened in the past. Frumious throws it open and
calls out a prayer to Omnos. A chilling voice responds from the darkness beyond
the door: “Omnos has abandoned the world little memory.”
Bursting
from the darkness beyond the door are 4 purple skinned desiccated figures with
grossly enlarged fanged teeth. Behind them an armored figure follows. Where his
head would be is a floating black skull with flames in the eye sockets. Even
Bajol and Feydor, who are normally not afraid of anything, felt a chill of fear
in the presence of the black skulled figure.
The party
fights and is able to defeat and slay all five enemies. The magical darkness
beyond the door is dispelled, revealing a small cell like area. Having
eradicated the evil of this tomb, and explored all other tunnels in the system
the Knights headed back to town.
The Knights
rest up over the course of 2 days in Halvenspring – meeting with Marc Risus and
Pharun briefly. During this time Feydor tries to reach out to Ellicor in a dream.
He makes contact and learns that word Shardanic does not have a connection with
the Shard Peoples, that Omnos is more worthy of devotion than Ellicor, and that
the party will find answers when they head west. Feydor tells Ellicor that the
carrion King told him not to meddle in this affair to which Ellicor responds
that the Carrion King was never subtle. End Session
Bajol dreamt of Ellicor
