NPC Profile: Father Theodore

Public Lore: Father Theodore is the local village priest for the Church of Omnos in Halvenspring. He was assigned to the village some 30 years ago although no one seems to know or care where he was prior. The villagers of Halvenspring view him as wise and he has a paternal air about him. Known for his patience, fairness, and even temper he is often called upon to settle disputes that would otherwise be taken to the Grey Circle or the Sheriff. He has a strange friendship with Onsmythe – they have a playful rivalry regarding the village’s largely wholesale conversion from Onsmythe’s druidic beliefs to the Omnian faith – a conversion that mainly occurred prior to Father Theodore’s arrival. Most of his sermons deal with community, charity, and faith in the face of adversary. For such a prominent member of the village, he receives very few visitors and only rarely any kind of obvious communication from other Church members.

Physical Description: Father Theodore is a robust healthy man in his early sixties. He wears the common brown robe associated with the lower clergy of Omnos, clasped with a wide leather belt over sturdy boots. He is grey of hair and beard, both of which he wears at about a foot in length. He is thick around the middle but still active and muscular – his belly has merely caught up with his chest in old age. His skin is wrinkled in the manner of one who has seen a lot of sun, and he stands about 5’11’.
