Profile: Company of the Bright Spear

The Company of the Bright Spear was an adventuring party that was active between 322 SV and 335 SV. Their adventuring was intercontinental, and they won fame for destroying a Cult that worshipped the Dark Necromancer in the city of Nath. They took their name from their leader Perry’s weapon of choice – an enchanted spear that glowed with a brilliant blue light when wielded. At the height of their notoriety they had twelve members, but after the final climatic battle with the Cult only four survived.

Those four chose to join up with the Valian Army during the Treyvan War of 335 SV because Lt. Gen. Karl was tasked with laying siege to the Dark Necromancer’s Tower, and the Company saw a chance to end the threat of the Dark Necromancer once and for all. During the siege of the Tower the Company of the Bright Spear along with the Knights of Mist Valley penetrated the tower and presumably confronted the Dark Necromancer. No one knows the details of that encounter, but it seems the Dark Necromancer was destroyed but none of the remaining members of the Bright Spear survived.
